1. Reduced labour & less complications

In a French randomised, double blind trial involving 93 women, a combination of homeopathic remedies Caulophyllum, Cimic, Arnica, Pulsatilla and Gelsemium were used to determine their effect on the length of labour and complication rates. The remedies were given twice a day from the beginning of the ninth month of pregnancy. The women taking the homeopathic remedies reduced their time in labour by an average of over 3 hours to approximately 5.1 hours compared to the placebo group who had an average labour time of 8.5 hours or longer.
Additionally, the rate of complications and medical intervention were reduced – for those using the homeopathic combination they were only 11.3% while the complication rate under placebo was over 40%.

2. Labour reduced by more than 90 mins

In another research program, 22 women experiencing their first pregnancies were given homoeopathic Caulophyllum during labour. Caulophyllum is a well known remedy in helping establish a strong, effective labour. It was found that the women who were given the homoeopathic remedy had a reduction in the duration of childbirth by an average of 90 minutes.
